If your home's basement has experienced flooding problems, damp walls, and flooring, or has a constant smell of mold, odds are that you need basement waterproofing services. We have the skills and expertise to fix any wet basement, and we use our patented basement waterproofing system to fix any and all water problems once and for all. One of the more popular repair methods we have used in many other Pittsburgh homes is the installation of an interior French drainage system using our WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain. Our French drainage system works by pumping out any water that enters your basement away using a sump pump before it can ever cause any damage.

The WaterGuard® basement waterproofing system from Basement Systems is an innovative interior basement drainage system designed to effectively solve your basement water problems.
When combined with our sump pumps and other waterproofing products, WaterGuard will keep your basement clean and dry year-round.
How It Works
Unlike conventional French drains that are installed outside the foundation or alongside the footing, WaterGuard drainage piping is installed inside the basement and won't clog with silt or plant roots.
WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.
Basement Systems recommends installing WaterGuard along with our TripleSafe™ sump pump system for optimum protection.
Our complete basement waterproofing system offers everything you need to keep water out of your basement.
Homeowners prefer WaterGuard's discreet design. The drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete. Only the top edge of the wall flange is visible, so you'll hardly know it's there. Plus, WaterGuard comes with a 20-year warranty against clogs.
The WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system has a patented profile that includes:
NexusPro® is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry. It fits into homeowners' busy lifestyles, too - drying time is a fraction of that needed for other urethane-based caulking products.
Why you need it.
Soil under your concrete driveway, sidewalk, stoop, patio, pool deck or garage slab can soften or erode as surface water runs through open cracks and joints. Weak soils and voids allow concrete to shift and settle, resulting in cracked, uneven surfaces.
A customer called from Idaho Falls with settlement in the northeast corner of their garage with cracking windows and cracks through the brick of the home.
We installed Push Piers.
Push Pier Systems utilize high-strength round steel tube sections and a load transfer bracket to stabilize and/or lift sinking or settling foundations. The foundation bracket is secured against the existing footing and pier sections are driven hydraulically through the foundation bracket and into the soil below using the combined structural weight and any contributory soil load as resistance. Pier sections are continuously driven until a suitable load-bearing stratum is encountered.
A homeowner in Idaho Falls, ID, had a crack in his basement. This crack was visible from the exterior and interior parts of the household. To make matters worse, water continually leaked through this crack into the basement. The drywall had to be torn off to expose the crack and the water damage. This concerned homeowner gave us a call and we quicky sent our expert to come evaluate the issue.
It was decided that our FlexiSpan Wall System would be the best product for our installers to use to fix this problem. With this product installed, it would keep this crack permanently sealed and safe from water leaks. Our installers also resurfaced the concrete and added a second layer of polyurethane for additional support for the crack. To be safe, we also installed a secondary drainage as a backup, and covered this entire system with more polyurethane sealant. Now this homeowner can finish his basement and rest assured that no crack or water will trouble his household.
Having unexpected water find its way into a basement or crawlspace is never a fun or safe scenario to be in. This homeowner from Idaho Falls moved into the house over 20 years ago and had been almost constantly battling water intrusion in the crawlspace of the home. On numerous occasions, enough water would accumulate in the crawlspace that the homeowner would have to have the water pumped out. Finally, the homeowner had had enough and wanted the problem to be resolved permanently. To do this, we installed several products to make absolutely sure that the problem was solved.
A Supersump sump pump was installed to quickly and efficiently pump out any water that might find its way into the home as well as notify the homeowner that water was intruding. Next, Smartpipe was installed to move any water that the sump pump would gather and deposit it safely away from the house. Iceguard and Lawnscape were installed to help prevent any water blockage due to ice in the winter. The homeowner was extremely relieved to finally have his problem taken care of!
Homeowner found water intrusion into their basement. To solve the problem WaterGuard was installed and IceGuard was also installed to help prevent potential flooding due to a frozen discharge line.
Homeowners discovered a crack in the foundation wall that allowed water into the basement of the home. We partnered with homeowners for the home project, including foundation repair and a waterproofing system. The SuperSump Pump System with TrenchDrain and IceGuard are chosen to solve the problem and prevent future flooding.
