This homeowner in Boise, Idaho called us with a serious and time sensitive problem. The hillside was sliding out from under their home, causing the house to settle 4" on one side. This resulted in cracks in the wall of their basement as well as cracks on their foundation footing.  We quickly worked together with the homeowner to come up with a plan that would repair the structural integrity of their home and stop any further settlement and foundation failure.  We started the process by excavating the perimeter on 3 sides of the home. Then we installed Helical Piers around the perimeter and successfully lifted the home 4”. To provide even more stabilization and prevent the home from continuing to slide, we installed Helical Pier Tiebacks on the retaining wall. The homeowner now has the peace of mind that the foundation of their home is safe and sound. Our Helical Piers permanently stabilized their foundation, lifted their home back to level, and provided them with a maintenance free solution.
