Foundation Repair Photo Album: Leaning Chimney

Our team had the pleasure of restoring a leaning chimney at a historic hot spring in Adams County. Over time, the chimney had begun to settle and lean away from the building. This not only caused a potential hazard to hot springs guests but also risked damaging a gorgeous fireplace in the lodge. Our specialist made the trip out to assess the damage and drew up a plan to straighten the chimney using push piers. Our installation team was thrilled with the results of this project as you can clearly see what a difference our products made.

Hydraulic push piers

This photo shows three piers along the outer edge of the chimney, there are also two piers on either of the short sides of the chimney

Peace of mind

After straightening the chimney, our team removed the hydraulic system that drove the piers into the ground. This is a low-profile solution that will provide stability for the foreseeable future.

Closing the gap

Compare this photo to the original from this angle. There is no longer a gap present & the inner, bright red brickwork that had shifted outside is not visible.
