Water damage in the Crawl in Orofino, Idaho.
Challenge
The home this customer was buying has moisture come in to the crawl space each year. You can see where water has flooded for years and the foundation is made of cement blocks. The inspection suggested they be sealed somehow. They were going to take care of it themselves but the crawl space is very narrow and difficult to work in. Most of the houses in the neighborhood have the same issue due to them being built on the hill. Many homes in the area have a pump to bring water out of the crawl spaces but this home does not.
Solution
Our solution was to install a partial perimeter drainage system to reroute the water to a sump pump and pump the water back out of the home!
What does a sump pump do exactly?
Simple! It pumps the water out! Water that gets in gets trapped in our drainage system which then flows into a pump and gets pumped out of a discharge line out of the home and into a pre-determined area in the yard so it can't get back in, keeping your home and your belongings water free!
