Crawl Space Moisture and Odor Problem Solved in Lewiston, ID.
Challenge
A couple was proud owners of a 1925 home. They began to notice a strong musty odor originating up from the crawl space. They went to take a look and found that the vapor barrier in the crawl space was not installed correctly. It wasn't even tacked down and failed to cover everything. This resulted in the walls of the foundation to be left exposed. Because of this, moisture was able to find its way into the crawl space, leading to a strong musty odor. They gave us a call to see if we could resolve this issue for them.
Solution
Our expert went over to examine the issue and then discuss options on how to fix this with the homeowners. From there, we installed an entire new vapor barrier, vent covers, and dehumidifier. This time we tacked down the CleanSpace barrier and covered the entire crawl space.
