Settling House Fixed with Additional Support in Rexburg, ID
Challenge
Concerned homeowners began to think that their house was settling further. The floor was not level, there were cracks on the outside, cracks on the interior, and doors/windows were sticking. The house was built in the 50's on a poured foundation. Someone had tried previously to fix the sagging support beams under the front entry by adding makeshift supports, but these had started to fail. There was now a large stairstep crack in the bricks on the front side of the home. They gave us a call, and we sent out our expert to see what could be done to fix this issue.
Solution
We ended up installing eleven push piers around the exterior of the foundation. We also installed two smart jacks and a supplemental beam under the front entry to repair and fix the front door situation. Together, these products will ensure that this house will no longer settle and these homeowners can now rest easy knowing their foundation is secure.
