Basement in Sandpoint, Idaho Permanently Protected with WaterGuard

Challenge

Homeowners in Sandpoint, Idaho thought they had taken care of the water problem in their basement.  They had water leaking into their basement every winter for the past three years.  As snow melted, water would seep into the basement where the wall meets the floor.  Fed up, they had a french drain system installed by a nearby company.  However, the system was not collecting the water quick enough and they were still having problems.  Knowing that Foundation Supportworks of Idaho services the entire state even though we are based out of Eagle, Idaho, they called to schedule a date and time for one of our System Design Specialists to come out and take a look. The solution to their basement water troubles was simple.  Replace the existing french drain with our WaterGuard system.  

Solution

WaterGuard is specifically designed to collect water entering at the gap between the basement wall and floor.  Unlike most french drains, WaterGuard does not fill up with debris.  It is completely sealed on top and is placed on top of the footing to prevent mud from entering the pipes from below.  This means that water can flow, unobstructed, to a sump pump and be directed up and out of the basement and a safe distance from the home.  WaterGuard is also designed to collect much more water than a typical french drain ever could.
