Challenge
We were contaced by this homeowner after they noticed a musty smell coming from their crawl space. When they went down to take a look, they were shocked at what they saw. The construction company had left debris scattered throughout the crawl space. Large pieces of duct work, rocks, and a vapor barrier that wasn't actually installed. Most surprising, a large log just laying in the middle of their crawlspace!
With no vapor barrier installed, moisture from the soil was evaporating into the crawl space causing damage to the floor beams and the musty odor the homeowners first called about.
Solution
Our team of installers was able to remove all of the debris from the space, including the log. They neatly laid down our heavy duty CleanSpace liner, wrapping the existing piers to completely seal off the space from future ground moisture. Not only do the homeowners never have to worry about water seeping up from the ground, they also have a clean crawl space with no musty odor.
